A Pet's Place 4th September 2008
A Pet's Place in the Family

Do you refer to your dog as your baby? Or refer to your actual children as your dog’s siblings? Research suggests that many of us regard pets as bona fide family members. Jenni is joined by Professor Nickie Charles; co-author of “My Family and Other Animals: Pets as Kin”
and Director of the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender at Warwick University and Tom Cox; author of “Under the Paw, Confessions of a Cat Man”
