Do you refer to your dog as your baby? Or refer to your actual children as your dog’s siblings? Research suggests that many of us regard pets as bona fide family members. Even parrots have been called FIDS – short for feathered kids. We’ll be exploring the way we now see what some would rather call ‘companion animals’.
