A round-up of lively comment on the week’s events

Sixty per cent of mums admit they read a lot less than they did before having children, with more than half prefering chick-lit,.  So does giving birth damage your reading habits? Deaths from heart disease are falling except in women below the age of 50, with obesity, smoking and drinking to blame. This generation has all the health facts at its finger tips but chooses to ignore the advice, so what's to be done? Rachel Johnson, author and columnist; Joan Burnie, Associate Editor of Scotland's Daily Record and Amani Zain, British Muslim film maker and presenter discuss the issues.

Shire Hall by Rachel Johnson is pubished by Penguin Books on 18 th May ISBN  0141035692
