Her new collection of poetry 'Bloodshot Monochrome'
The poet Patience Agbabi is renowned for her live performances. Drawing on rap, jive and disco rhythms but using traditional poetic forms like the sonnet, she was nominated as one of the Next Generation Poets to watch in 2004. She talks to Jenni about her new collection of poetry on everything from Northern Soul to contract killers, from retro to brand new, from her own child-hood to the birth of her first child.
