Work
The business-mum boom 14 April 2008
Is post-pregnancy a good time to start up a business?

Increasing numbers of women want to become their own boss. According to new research, mothers have emerged as an entrepreneurial force to be reckoned with. For more than forty percent of the mothers surveyed, the desire to run their own business came while they are pregnant, or within a year of their baby being born. Jane hears about the challenges women face when setting up a new enterprise with award winning-business woman Cary Marsh, and Erika Watson, Executive Director of Prowess, a network of organisations that supports women in business.
