Sex under your Roof? 11 Mar 08
Teenagers with their arms around each other.
What should you say to your 16 year old if they want their boyfriend or girlfriend to stay the night?

A recent poll showed that 4 out of 10 parents would say yes. If you take this liberal view, you can keep an eye on them, but are you encouraging something that might not have happened otherwise? If you say no, will they just find a less safe environment to be together?
We hear first from teenagers themselves, and then Jane is joined by Gill Hines, a health education consultant, and the author Suzanne Franks, to discuss the best way for a parent to handle this delicate situation.

Whatever!: A Down-to-Earth Guide to Parenting Teenagers by Gill Hines and Alison Baverstock, published by Piatkus Books, ISBN: 978-0749927233

Get Out of My Life, But First Take Me and Alex into Town: A Parents Guide to the New Teenager by Anthony Wolf and Suzanne Franks, published by Profile Books, ISBN: 978-1861973412
