Shy Keenan 12 Feb 2008
Talks about using her experience of being abused to help others

Shy Keenan's book 'Broken' documents the horrific abuse she suffered from the age of 4 to 14 at the hands of her stepfather. She finally was able to help convict him 25 years later, by which time he had gone on to abuse many other children. Shy joins Jenni to tell her about the organisation she now runs called Phoenix Survivors,  which offers support to victims of child sexual abuse.  Shy also tracks down active paedophiles online; work that has led to her needing round the clock protection.

'Broken' by Shy Keenan is published by Hodder & Stoughton, ISBN: 978-0-340-93742-6.
