Am I My Job? 08 Aug 2007
Bill Morris
How work impacts on our identity.

As we spend more hours and more years at work, many of us have come to rely upon our jobs to give us an identity. But what happens to our sense of self when we take time out to care for children or relatives, are made redundant or retire? And, although increasing numbers of us say we are concerned with our work-life balance, is doing a job well actually a healthy part of who we are? Jenni talks to Bill Morris. Ex- General Secretary of the Transport and General Workers Union and Life Coach Dawn Breslin about whether we are living to work or working to live.
