FANY - The First Aid Nursing Yeomanry 20th June 2007
FANY centenary badge
To mark the centenary of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry, we’ve been hearing from a number of women who served with the organisation during the Second World War. Juanita Carberry was born into the White Mischief era of pre-war colonial Kenya.  She tells Martyn Cox about her time as a FANY attached to a signals unit in Kenya, where, unusually, one of the things that most appealed to her was the uniform.
