Midwife retraining 22 May 2007
Today the Royal College of Midwives Annual Conference opens in Brighton and amongst the debates will be midwifery training. With the government committed to increasing the number of midwives, why are many women finding it difficult to return to the job? And why is the government no longer providing funding? Jenni is joined by Mary Bruce, who is currently retraining as a midwife; Sue Jacob from The Royal College of Midwives, and Ivan Lewis, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department of Health.
