But with the Court of Appeal due to give judgement any day on an appeal against Britain's biggest divorce award of £48million, Woman's Hour asks whether the pendulum has swung too far in favour of wives in divorce cases, or does the law still not take into account the financial sacrifices women make when they give up work?
