Karen Torley - death row campaigner 23 Jan 2007
For over a decade, Karen Torley has been campaigning to free a Scottish man, Kenny Richey, being held on death row in the USA. She started writing to him in prison, over time they fell in love and got engaged, but they split up two years ago. Richey was convicted of murdering a two-year-old girl in an alleged arson attack in Ohio in 1987. However, Karen passionately believes there has been a miscarriage of justice. Her campaign has the support of Amnesty International and Reprieve.

Martha asks her what it was like to be in a relationship for eight years with a man imprisoned on the other side of the Atlantic, and why she continues to fight for his freedom when their relationship is over.
