The Government has promised to come down like a ton of bricks on parents who fail to pay maintenance - with the naming and shaming of offenders. Here it’s controversial, but in America it’s a system which has worked for many years. Websites show photographs of fathers and mothers who fail to pay under headings like “deadbeat parents". So, will it work here and how does the Government's White Paper redefine the duties of parents towards their children?
