While British women may be grappling with the notion of the perimenopause, (the years leading up to the menopause) in many cultures the idea of the menopause itself is something that doesn’t exist.
Jenni is joined by Professor Lynette Leidy Sievert, a biological anthropologist at the University of Massachusetts and Dr Maya Unnithan, an anthropologist of reproduction from the University of Sussex to discuss how different cultures view “the change of life.”
