Emilie du Chatelet 16 May 2006
According to Voltaire, Emilie du Chatelet "was a great man whose only fault was being a woman". But far from being remembered for her pioneering works in physics and mathematics, history has singled out Emilie Du Chatelet purely for being Voltaire's mistress. Her relationship with Voltaire was one of the great love affairs of the enlightenment.

Jenni is joined by the bestselling author David Bodanis who has just written a book about Emilie and Voltaire.

Passionate Minds: The Great Enlightenment Love Affair by David Bodanis, published by Little, Brown - ISBN: 0316730874
