Fathers and childcare in the Recession 04 January 2010
Father and Child
The impact on childcare and the growth of Dads and Toddler groups.

As a result of the recession, there is a growing band of fathers with high income jobs who have been hit by the credit crunch and are taking on full-time care of their children. Jane hears from dads attending the Dads and Littl’uns, playgroup in South London and she also speaks to Duncan Fisher, Director of Family Info, the publisher of the website Dad.info and Anne Longfield Chief Executive of 4Children, the national children and families charity, about the impact that the recession is having on child-care.
