Turning listeners' letters into the Woman's Hour Drama 12 October 2009
How your experiences of separation have inspired five plays

Earlier this year we asked you to send in your stories about going through some kind of separation, be it painful, liberating, funny or sad. We received hundreds of responses, and the drama producer Sara Davies and writer Katie Hims have drawn on your contributions to create a new Woman's Hour serial. Degrees of Separation starts today and continues across the week.  Many of you may recognise echoes of your own experiences within them. Sara and Katie join Jane to talk about some of the moving and inspiring stories you sent in, and the challenging process of turning these into five interlinking radio plays.
