Work
Opinion makers in the press 19 Feb 2009
Where are the women?

Fewer women write opinion pieces in the press than men. An organisation in the States is attempting to redress this gender imbalance with opinion-writing seminars for women from all backgrounds, not just journalism. But, is this a skill which can be taught? What are the dangers of making your views public? And why do fewer women do it? Jenni discusses these issues with Guardian columnist, Polly Toynbee, and Anne Spackman, Comment Editor at The Times.
