The latest research on premature labour
Around 50,000 babies are born too soon each year in the UK and, tragically 1,500 die as a result of related complications. Lee and his partner Karen lost their daughter Phoebe three years ago when she was born early at just 23 weeks. The couple are fronting a new charity Christmas appeal, the Phoebe Appeal which aims to raise funds for medical research into premature labour. They talk to Jenni about their experience. They are joined by Professor Jane Norman, Chair of Maternal and Fetal Health, University of Edinburgh.Action Medical Research
