How to avoid excessive debt
Every five minutes someone in the UK is declared bankrupt or insolvent. The Citizens Advice Bureau says the number of people contacting it for help has increased by nearly 40 percent in 12 months and with Christmas looming round the corner, that figure is expected to rise. So just how difficult is it for some people to pay bills and cope during the festive season? For those who are on benefits any chance of a bank loan is out of the question, resulting in an increasing number of women turning to loan sharks.
