Men and drug related deaths  28th August 2008
Why are men more likely to die from drug abuse?

New figures show that men are four times more likely to die from illicit use as women, though they’re only twice as likely to be taking drugs in the first place. So what is it about men and their lifestyles that make them so much more likely to suffer a drugs related death?

Jenni is joined by Mick Holmes; a former drug user who now works as a counsellor for social care organisation Turning Point and Dr Mark Simpson; Assistant Dean in the School of Social Science and Law at the University of Teeside.
