Working from home –  why the study is no longer father’s sole preserve.

A recent architectural review suggested the architect Frank Lloyd Wright put the primary workplace for women at the centre of the house where the maternal eye could oversee children anywhere outside their bedrooms. So does that mean the study is still largely a male domain? As more and more of us seek to base our work as well as our family life at home, Jenni discusses how the concept of the live/work space has evolved with home-based, best selling author Sophie Hannah and architect and academic Frances Holliss.
