Sex & Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll – are music festivals a suitable place to take the kids?
Music festivals used to be considered the sole domain of the young, with music fans spending lost weekends at venues like Glastonbury and Reading. But yesterday’s teenagers are today’s 'middle youth', a generation of thirty and forty somethings who refuse to relinquish their 3 day pass and want to keep on rocking. But when kids come along, should that mean an end to festival going, or is it simply a reason to buy a family-sized tent to pitch up at one of the increasing number of festivals that are keen to attract families? How do you keep on rocking with the kids in tow, what are the best family friendly festivals and how, as a parent, do you deal with the rock and roll behaviour of those around you? Jenni is joined by Sharon Watson journalist & author of The Essential Guide to Festivals: Tents & Mud & Rock and Roll and writer and broadcaster David Quantick to discuss whether you can still party with kids?
The Essential Guide to Festivals: Tents & Mud & Rock and Roll. is published by The History Press Ltd, ISBN-10: 0711749795. The Essential Guide to Festivals Disclaimer
