Elizabeth Kenny 10 Oct 2007
Elizabeth Kenny
On her passion for playing the lute.

Musician Elizabeth Kenny is one of the UK's leading lute players. Her solo repertoire ranges from the renaissance to the eighteenth century. She performs regularly with leading period instrument ensembles; has made dozens of recordings for CD, radio and television; and toured throughout Europe, North America and Japan. She's now taking part in special productions of Dido and Aeneas in Wiltshire and London . It combines Purcell’s opera with Christopher Marlowe’s play, Dido, Queen of Carthage. Jenni talks to Elizabeth about this new production and her passion for the lute.

'Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment 'is at  the Wiltshire Music Centre on Fri 12 Oct  2007 and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London Sat 13 Oct and Sun 14 Oct 2007
