Britain's Oldest Identical Triplets 30 August 2007
Britain's oldest identical triplets
Celebrate their 80th Birthday.

When triplets Doris Kingston, Alice Holmes and Gladys Caress (nee Rodgers) were born in 1927 triple births were so rare that their father was sent one pound for each of them from King George V. When reporter Jill Hopkins went to meet them in Leeds recently they told her that the only way to really tell them apart is by remembering that Doris is the bossy one, Gladys is quiet and Alice is the comedian. Gladys says: "We were born 20 minutes apart. We were identical then and still are. It's caused a lot of confusion over the years."
