Women and ETA 21 June 2007
How have women influenced Spain’s armed separatist group?

Earlier this month the Spanish separatist group ETA, announced it was calling off its 15 month ceasefire. The statement itself, which has quashed the hopes of so many Spaniards, was read out to the press by a disguised female ETA militant. Academic, Carrie Hamilton recently spent two years living in the Basque region interviewing former women members of the group. She joins Jenni to discuss the historic influence of women upon Spain’s oldest armed movement.
