History and Importance of Fabric Design 1st June 2007
Fabric
The Clothes Show has launched a competition looking for the country’s most exciting emerging talent to create a new textile print. The winner’s design will go on sale in Marks and Spencer at the end of the year. So what is the importance of fabric design and what can it tell us about the economic, social and technological history of a nation? Jane is joined by Clothes Show presenter Caryn Franklin and Kay Politowicz, Course Director of Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
