Arguments between parents 26 Dec 2006
One Plus One, a charity that works to improve relationships, has recently launched a training pack called My Mum and Dad Argue a Lot.  It’s aimed at professionals such as health visitors, GPs and teachers who come into contact with families.  The idea is to encourage parents to argue in a way that minimises the emotional effects of their discord on their children and sets them a good example.

But is it reasonable to expect parents to always argue constructively?  How feasible is it for parents in the heat of a row to take into account the impact of their disputes on their children? Jenni discusses this with Penny Mansfield, director of One Plus One, and comedy writer Jan Etherington.
