Morning After Pill 5 Dec 2006
Should the Morning After Pill be available on demand so women can have access to emergency contraception in the first few hours after sex when it’s at its most effective?

The British Pregnancy Advisory Service already offers this option and thinks it should be more widely available. But would this encourage women to risk unprotected sex? And is it irresponsible to over-rely on emergency contraception?

To discuss the impact that obtaining the emergency contraceptive pill in advance will have for women, Martha talks to Ann Furedi, Chief Executive of The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) and Patricia Morgan, a sociologist who specialises in family planning.
