 Crime novels are some of the most popular books read today - they regularly appear on bestseller lists and are one of the most borrowed categories from public libraries. And the gritty forensic novels of writers like Patricia Cornwell regularly appear in the top ten. But are these crime novels all the more gory for being penned by a female hand?
Jenni will be joined by crime writer, Val McDermid, and freelance journalist & publishing commentator, Danuta Kean, to discuss whether women are responsible for writing the most graphic violence today? And is it the great unsaid that many of them are lesbians?
