When is it right to prescribe drugs to children with mental health conditions? Figures suggest that there has been nearly a three-fold increase in the prescribing of drugs to children by psychiatrists in the last 20 years. Are these drugs really necessary? Could they actually be damaging children’s health and well-being? And how effective are they?
