Young Children and Grief 19 June 2006
Statistics suggest that between 2-3% of pre-school children in Britain will lose a parent, main carer or sibling, and the figure may be much higher in areas of social deprivation. Whilst the past decade has seen a growth of support for school-aged children who've suffered bereavement, less attention has been paid to children under the age of five.

Jenni is joined by Rose Griffiths, the driving force behind a new project at the University of Leicester, exploring how toddlers make sense of loss and Julie Stokes, founder of Winston's Wish, the charity for bereaved children.

The DVD 'Not too Young to Grieve' is available from Leeds Animation Workshop and from public libraries.
