What happens to a family in the aftermath of homicide? 22 Feb 2006
There is no shortage of media interest in cases of murder and manslaughter, the current case of Neil Entwistle, accused of murdering his wife and nine month old daughter in the United States is the latest to grab the headlines. But what happens to a family in the aftermath of homicide? We talked recently on this programme to Gee Walker, the mother of Anthony who was brutally murdered in July last year about her capacity to forgive and move on.

Jenni discusses new research into the experiences of people bereaved by murder and manslaughter and asking if there's enough help for bereaved families as they navigate their way through the criminal justice process and beyond. She is joined by June Price whose 80 year old mother was murdered in her own home and Kate Cheston, Victim Support

"In the Aftermath" investigating the experiences of people bereaved by murder and manslaughter is published on Wednesday 22nd February by Victim Support. It is reviewing its services to people bereaved by homicide.
