Giving hope to families living on a Manilan rubbish dump.
Four years ago, Jane Walker gave up a successful career in the media to start a charity in the Philippines helping families living on a vast rubbish dump in Manila. Jane was so shocked at the conditions and the lack of opportunities for children, that she opened a school on the dump site. It now has more than 400 pupils. Jane Walker talks to Jane about the award she has won and how her life has changed since she decided to follow her vocation. The Philippine Community FundDisclaimer
