Happiness 30th March 2009
Flower
Where to find it in difficult times?

As the recession hits and gloom appears all around, where do we look for happiness? Do men and women derive happiness from different things? How much do women feel that it is their responsibility to make others happy? And how much is personality tied in with happiness, contentment and joy (and are they the same thing)?  Jane discusses this with James Runcie, the writer, TV producer and director; Claire Fox, Director of the Institute of Ideas; and Derek Draper, writer, psychotherapist and political activist.

'East Fortune' by James Runcie is published by Bloomsbury, ISBN: 9780747597032

'Life Support, A Survival Guide for the Modern Soul' by Derek Draper is published by Hay House publishing, ISBN: 9781848500440
