How do you go from telesales to a West End star?

Connie Fisher, the telesales girl who made it to the West End. Connie won the BBC talent contest “How do you solve a problem like Maria?” in 2006, and took on a £3,000 a week contract at London’s Palladium theatre in the leading role of “The Sound of Music”. The critics loved her. Since then she has starred in her first TV drama and now she is releasing an album of show tunes.  She joins Jane to talk about growing up with her mum and nan in Wales, what working with Andrew Lloyd-Webber was really like, and we’ll hear a bit of her music too.
"Secret Love” is on the Polydor label.
