Penelope Leach
Her new book on the state of child care today

Child care is not just the responsibility of parents but intrinsic to the wellbeing of society, according to child psychologist Dr Penelope Leach. She evaluates the complex issues surrounding the type of child care that is available and used by parents today by looking back at how child care has evolved and reflecting on issues of child care in other countries. She joins Jane to discuss some of her key findings.

Child Care Today by Penelope Leach is published by Polity Press, ISBN: 978-0745647005
