Jazz pianist

One of the world’s leading interpreters of stride piano and swing, Judy Carmichael was nicknamed 'stride' by Count Basie, and recorded her first album with members of his band. In London for two concerts, she talks to Jenni about her musical style, her life and playing all over the world. She also plays live in the Woman’s Hour studio.
