Dr Lucy Blue - Oceans 12 Nov 2008
Dr Lucy Blue
Leading maritime archaeologist

Dr Lucy Blue is one of the world's leading maritime archaeologists, and one of the co-presenters of the new BBC2 series Oceans. The series follows a team of scientists as they conduct experiments to build a global picture of the state of our oceans. Lucy is currently the Director of the Centre for Maritime Archaeology at the University of Southampton, and has done excavations in Alexandria, Egypt and also in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. She talks to Jane about what she learnt from making the series and how she developed her passion for maritime archaeology.

Oceans starts on BBC 2 November 12th at 8pm
