The New Joy of Sex 29 August 2008
The Joy of Sex
Three decades on, how has it changed?

Since its original publication in 1972 'The Joy of Sex' has sold some eight million copies. Criticised for being written almost entirely from a male perspective, it has now been updated by a woman for the first time. Jane will be joined by the book's author, the psychologist Susan Quilliam, and the marital psychotherapist Brett Kahr, to discuss the challenges of updating 'The Joy of Sex', how much it has changed over the years, and the role of such a book in our sexually saturated society.

The New Joy of Sex, by Alex Comfort and Susan Quilliam, is published by Octopus Publishing Group, ISBN: 978-1-84533-429-1
