Wendy Cope
On her new collection of poems

Wendy Cope is among Britain’s best-selling living poets. Her work has been described as sad, funny, poignant, whimsical and sometimes despairing, often charting her difficulties in relationships. Twenty two years ago the publication of Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis first shot her into what passes in the poetry world for a stratosphere. Now a new collection of her work brings together for the first time the best of Wendy Cope. She joins Jenni to talk about life, love and why schoolchildren need to read more poetry.

Two Cures for Love, Selected Poems 1979-2006 by Wendy Cope, is published by Faber and Faber, ISBN: 978-0571237395
