Doreen Lawrence 21 April 2008
The 15th anniversary of Stephen's murder

15 years ago the black teenager Stephen Lawrence was murdered in a racist attack at a bus stop in south east London. Since then his mother Doreen has tirelessly campaigned to bring about changes in the way race crimes and race relations are handled and to improve the life of chances of black and ethnic-minority students. On the eve of the 15th anniversary of her son's murder she joins Jane to talk about the years of campaigning, the changes she has seen in herself and in society, and about the charity established in Stephen's name.
