 On Monday Cancer Research UK announced that scientists have discovered four more genes which could increase a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. This is the most significant finding since two rare genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 were discovered a decade ago.
But what implications will this have for the treatment of breast cancer? In the last few weeks a number of new drug treatments have been announced and a range of more ‘targeted’ treatments are currently undergoing trials.
