Like Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela Aung, San Suu Kyi has become an iconic figure through her support for non-violent resistance against the military junta in Burma. In 1991 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize but has spent 10 of the last 17 years under house arrest. Jenni talks to historian Justin Wintle about his new biography of Aung San Suu Kyi and about the influence her parents had on both her and on the country to which she has dedicated her life.
