Should parents have the right to know?
Teenage pregnancy rates in the UK are amongst the highest in Europe and the government’s own figures suggest that a quarter of young people under 16 are sexually active. But it’s adults who are left to pick up the pieces of unwanted pregnancy and abortion – so should parents have the right to be informed before under aged children get contraception or sexual health advice?

Jenni is joined by Claire Phillips, Director of Policy at the Office of the Children’s Commissioner and Angela Watkinson, Conservative MP for Upminster. Her Contraception and Abortion (Parental Information) Bill – which argued for the right of parents to be told - was recently thrown out of Parliament.
