 She won the BAFTA for ‘Best TV Actress’ for her portrayal of Esther in Bleak House and is presently playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret in London’s West End. Now she is to appear on the big screen as Cassandra, Jane Austen’s sister, in a new film Becoming Jane. She talks to Martha about her life and the contrasting roles she has played since leaving drama school in 2001.
