Sexual Bullying - pupils against teachers |

A recent survey carried out by the National Union of Teachers concluded that nearly one fifth of primary school teachers and two thirds of secondary teachers had experienced some form of sexual bullying from pupils. Many teachers felt senior management did not take the problem seriously and that pupils’ use of sexually abusive language was institutionally tolerated.
So what has happened to alter pupil respect and how can we best restore it? With whom does the onus lie – is it with teachers, parents, or education authorities?
