 It's estimated that there are nearly 400,000 pupils in the UK with dyslexia. Although there is no total cure the effects can be alleviated by specialist teaching. One technique that claims a high success rate with dyslexics is the Dore Programme. It's based on a series of "workout for the brain” exercises - but it's not without its critics. Now after a scientific journal published a highly favourable study of the programme five of its board members of have resigned in protest.
