Work
Sexual Harassment Law - 20 years on 12 June 2006
It’s twenty years since Jean Porcelli won her landmark sexual harassment case.  Working as a lab technician, Jean was victimised and harassed by male colleagues and her case was the first to establish sexual harassment as a specific form of harassment under the Sex Discrimination Act. At the time, the Equal Opportunities Commission supported Jean’s case, and this week they have published new guidelines for employers.

Ritula Shah talks to Jean Pottecilli about her case.  She is also joined by Jenny Watson, Chair of the EOC; Susan Anderson, Director of Human Resources Policy at the CBI, and the employment rights solicitor Camila Palmer to discuss the current legal situation and new forms of harassment -  for example via text messages and email.
