Camila Batmanghelidjh 29 May 2006
The founder of Kids Company, Camila Batmanghelidjh, has written a book called Shattered Lives which gives the vulnerable children she works with a voice for the first time. Chapters take the form of letters to children capturing their life experiences, hugely impacted by sexual abuse, parental substance misuse and loss.

Camila, who won the prestigious Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2005, talks to Jenni about her ways of working with these children and how she believes that love is stronger than punishment as a form of rehabilitation.

Shattered Lives:  Children Who Live with Courage and Dignity, Jessica Kingsley Publishers, ISBN 1-84310-434-2
