It's potentially one of the greatest social taboos but according to government figures an increasing number of women lured by the possibility of alternative lives are resorting to the same tactics as men -  and walking out on their families. Fathers can leave their families without it making news but it's something mothers are not supposed to do. So how can women dare to leave?
